Don't bother changing the rear diff fluid on an Acura MDX at 100k miles. The fluid that came out looked brand new. Probably could have lasted until 200k without an issue.

Part-time awd system?

My wife and I did the rear diff fluid on a 2001 Grand Cherokee that had a weird whining noise at 120k mile. It was without a doubt the hardest fix I've ever done and it looked like chocolate water. And stank.

What year? That might be my wife's next car (in a couple years). We've got 140k on her CX-9 so far.

It's a 2009. Absolutely no problems so far. Prior to this one we owned a 2001 and put 240k miles on it with no issues, just regular maintenance. IMO you can't go wrong with an MDX.

Thanks for the reply. I'm a Honda/Acura fan from way back - hope they recapture some of their former glory with the new NSX and S2000 successor.
